  1. This album has worn a lot better than people gave it credit for upon initial release. I remember Dave Marsh of Rolling Stone and Robert Christgau absolutely savaging this record when it came out - underservedly, really. Yes, it was a last gasp - it came years after the group's official "breakup" and had the scent of a money grab at first.
  2. This Album doesn't include Madonna's hit songs, such as Like a Virgin, Borderline, Vogue, Papa Don't Preach, etc etc. If you want those songs, get the Immaculate Collection. This Album offers so much more, even though I'm not a fan of Compilation Album's, this one is simply so amazing/5().

  4. This album is upbeat, and pleasant to listen to. It is also subtle, dark, and heavy. This was made during the phase/craze of going to thrift stores, finding answering machines, removing the micro cassette, and incorporating the incoming messages into one's song. You will not hear a better example than track 7 on this album/5(9).

  8. Jul 29,  · T hough the titular blue critters always endorsed social responsibility and kindness toward others, the Smurfs cartoon series preceded the push for overtly educational children’s entertainment in the mid s. Any messages delivered by the show were secondary to its playfulness and base humor. This is partly what made the program a classic originally, or at Missing: Papa J. Smoove.
